Audry Royce Smith

Audry Royce Smith of Bella Vista, age 96, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born on Tuesday, July 9, 1929 in Healy, Kansas to Frederick Walter and Helen Virginia Smith (Harrington).

Audry graduated High School in Hiwasse, Arkansas, and later served as Mayor of Centerton, Arkansas. He owned and operated a service station and garage in Centerton for more than 30 years, and was a charter member of the Centerton Fire Department. Afterward, he moved to Alabama where he spent the next 20 (+) years, before moving back to Arkansas where he lived in Bella Vista. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bella Vista.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Mary Ruth Smith; his parents, Fred and Helen; and his brother Kyle Smith.

Audry is survived by 3 daughters; Cassandra (Sandy) Bertschy of Bella Vista, Catherine Rew (David) of Bella Vista, and Beverly Eastis of Sherwood, Arkansas, 6 grandchildren; Stephanie Disheroon (Matt) and their children Regan and Allison, Robert Bertschy (Brook) and their children Owen and Royce, Daniel Rew (Lauren) and their children Jackson and Lyla, Nicholas Rew (Taylor) and their children Fisher, Charles and Piper, Callie Cain (Taylor) and their children Audry, Rosaria, and Kuyper, and Hunter Eastis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Arkansas, Brother John Payne officiating.
