Betty Humphrey Vinson Weaver

Betty Humphrey Vinson Weaver, age 88, formerly of North Little Rock and Maumelle, AR, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Apple Creek Health and Rehab in Centerton, AR. She had moved to Apple Creek to be closer to her daughters, Kelly Vinson Cheshier and Beverly Vinson Womack.

She was born at home in Bradford, AR along with her twin brother Bill, on May 11,1938 to Clyde and Elsie McAdams Humphrey. She attended North Little Rock High School, was a Cheerleader and graduated in 1956. At the start of her career, she worked at GMAC. Later, she was a Civil Service Employee, working at both the Corp of Engineers and the Little Rock Air Force Base. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Maumelle.

She was a voracious reader and loved playing Duplicate Bridge at the Bridge House in Little Rock and North Little Rock. Her claim to fame was playing in a Duplicate Bridge tournament that Bill Gates was playing in. She loved being with her family on holidays and family get togethers, going to the beach and to the lake, playing Blackjack and Rummikub, and traveling. She often remarked that she was so lucky to have visited so many places in her lifetime. She was known for her famous banana pudding and always had her sweet tea by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Eddie and Ruben Humphrey; sisters Montine McDonnell, Melba Paladino and Thelma Matthews; Bill Vinson, the father of her girls; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her twin brother, Bill Humphrey of Conway: daughters Kelly Cheshier (Greg) of Lincoln, AR; Beverly Vinson Womack of Edmond, OK; grandsons Kevin and Kris Womack and Justin Richards; granddaughters Whitney Rawn (Josh) and Kaylin Lamb (Hayden); great-grandsons Gage and Gavin Womack, Charlie Rawn; great-granddaughters Kinley Grace Richards and, baby Anniston Jade Lamb who will be born in July. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she adored; Jim Davidson (Janis), Angie Griggs (Fil), Dale Humphrey (Gina), David Humphrey (Laura), John Vinson, Leslie Erstine (Kelley), Vicki Jones (John), Jay Vinson (Kathy).

The family would like to express our gratitude to the awesome caregivers at Apple Creek Health and Rehab for taking such loving care of our mom for the past few years. We also want to thank Circle of Life Hospice for their compassionate care during the last part of her life. A big thank you to Ricky and the staff at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville for the care that they provided to our family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR.
