Lloyd Everett Collins

Lloyd Everett Collins, age 83, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away comfortably at Bradford House on March 25, 2026. He was born on March 11, 1943, in Festus, Missouri, to DO Collins and Katherine (Towne) Collins.

Lloyd held a BA in Music from Southern Illinois University. He shared his love for music through teaching in Sesser, Illinois, Johnston City, Illinois, and Waynesville, Missouri. His career journey also led him to serve as a manager for Walmart in DuQuoin, Illinois, then as a merchandise planner at the home office in Bentonville, Arkansas. Later, he worked with Harps Food Stores in Bentonville.

Outside of the workplace, Lloyd was an actively involved in the community. He volunteered with First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, Arkansas, by establishing a community garden and serving at the church’s food pantry. He also served as an Elder at First Christian Church. Lloyd’s interest in music led him to sing in church and community choirs. In his leisure time, woodworking was a treasured hobby for him.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, DO Collins, his mother, Katherine (Towne) Collins, and his brother, Dean Collins.

He is survived by his family, including his wife, Roberta (McDuffy) Collins, daughter Jennifer Porter (Scott), son Jason Collins (Shannon), and granddaughters Duffy Porter and Gwyneth Collins, his sisters Marilyn Townsend and Kay Miller, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Extended family members include Terry and Peggy Hicks, Katie, John, Kaitlin, and Ian; Isaac Adams and Anne Bartoletti, Dawn Stitzer, Carrie Cannady, and Kyla Sears.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas or Clothed with Compassion at First Christian Church, Bentonville, Arkansas.

Lloyd will be dearly missed for his kind heart and the positive impact he made on the lives of so many.
