Thomas Randall Morrow, Jr.
February 4, 1963 until June 5, 2026

Thomas Randall Morrow, Jr., affectionately known to his family as “Randy,” passed away on June 5, 2026, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Born on February 4, 1963, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Tom’s journey was defined from the beginning by a brilliant mind, and a profound love for the world around him.
Tom possessed an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a deep love for books, remaining an avid reader from the time he was a child. He also held a lifelong passion for leadership and the outdoors that was kindled during his youth, culminating in his achievement of becoming a Boy Scout where he obtained many merit badges. A patriot at heart, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. His trademark precision and sharp focus were evident from the very start of his military journey, where he famously outshot everyone in his entire division during boot camp, earning a distinguished medal for his marksmanship. Following his active service, his dedication to the Marine Corps brotherhood remained a cornerstone of his life. He continued to be deeply active with the local Marine Corps League, regularly participating in their
annual Marine Corps Balls. Tom also stepped into leadership as the Assistant Area Coordinator for the local Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, dedicating years to ensuring local children received gifts and joy during the holidays.
Following his military service, Tom sought to channel his sharp analytical mind into the rapidly evolving world of technology. He attended Southern Technical College, graduating with an Associate Degree in Electronics, and was immensely proud to graduate with highest honors and a perfect 4.0 GPA. Tom brought his technical expertise straight into the workforce, starting his career at Dillard's while working towards his degree. He later joined Walmart in June of 1991, launching a distinguished 15-year tenure. He rose steadily through the corporate ranks, serving as a Senior Systems Engineer, a Strategy Manager for Information Systems, and ultimately as a Strategy Architect. In 2009, he brought his data solutions mastery to The Nielsen Company as a
Senior Solutions Architect. He later transitioned into a long-term role as a Strategic Business Consultant for NielsenIQ (NIQ), where he was responsible for maintaining cutting-edge AI database infrastructure until June 2025, ahead of his eventual retirement. An entrepreneur at heart, he founded and operated his own business, Tomorrow Digital Productions, for over 23 years. Through his company, Tom specialized in the meticulous
preservation of film, photos, and videos, helping countless families protect their most cherished memories. He combined this entrepreneurial spirit with his artistic talents by showcasing and selling his fine art photography prints online through platforms like Fine Art America, sharing his unique eye for the world with a wider audience.
Tom approached his creative and personal pursuits with the same patience, intellect, and mastery that defined his career. He was a brilliant expert marksman, taking the elite skills he honed in the Marine Corps boot camp into high-level competitive sport, where he won several gun competitions and championships in the early 2000s—including placing an incredible 13th in the nation at the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) National Championship. This world-class accuracy and steady discipline seamlessly connected to his lifelong love for hunting, allowing him to navigate the woods with the ultimate precision and respect for nature.
He was also an active and deeply knowledgeable member of the Northwest Arkansas Gem and Mineral Society, serving as President, Treasurer, and on the Board of Directors throughout his time there. He loved the thrill of hunting for rocks out in nature, breaking them open, and turning raw stones into beautiful, polished gems.
Whether he was hunting in the timber of Big Island, fishing on quiet waters, or pointing his camera toward the sky, Tom found his true peace outdoors. He was a highly passionate photographer of nature and astronomy, capturing spectacular images ranging from passing comets and night stars to radiant, fiery coastal sunsets and historic monuments. To Tom, every rocky trail, hidden gemstone, and brilliant landscape was a profound reflection of his deep Christian faith—a lifetime spent in quiet awe and wonder of the majesty of God’s creation.
Beyond his personal passions, Tom used his sharp analytical mind to honor his roots, meticulously serving as the editor of Foundation Stones, a cherished genealogy book chronicling the Morrow family lineage and the early settlers of Conway County, Arkansas. Tom’s preservation of his heritage was a true reflection of the ultimate priority in his life: being a dedicated family man. He held a deep reverence for family history and ancestral legacy, a passion he shared intensely with his son, Scott. Tom played a pivotal role in introducing Scott to historic preservation organizations, a bond that came full circle when Scott—serving as Commander—proudly swore his father into the Major Fontaine Earle Camp 1453 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans on December 4, 2022. Tom was also a dedicated member of the Col. David Walker Chapter #316 of the Military Order of the Stars and Bars, Arkansas Society, where Scott serves as Chaplain. Tom carried these historical honors with immense pride, rooted in his lineage as the 3rd Great-Grandson of 1st Lieutenant Matthew Hezekiah Harrington, Company D, 8th Arkansas Infantry. As a father, Tom was steadfast, deeply loving, and fiercely protective of his children, Scott and Ashlyn, guiding them through their lives with pride and fortitude.
A wonderful new chapter opened when he met the love of his life, Galena, on June 23, 2011. Galena had traveled a brave path, leaving behind everything she knew in Ukraine to bring her young son, Ivan, to the United States in search of a better life. Tom held a profound respect for Galena's incredible perseverance, resilience, and grit. He admired her past journey deeply and made it his mission to ensure she and Ivan felt safe, cherished, and entirely at home. Following a beautiful foundation of love and devotion, Tom and Galena were married on April 13, 2013. As a couple deeply rooted in faith, they chose their wedding date to honor Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." —a verse they held even closer to their hearts this past year. Hand-in-hand, they shared a blessed life, traveling the world together, immersing
themselves in other cultures, and capturing global adventures side-by-side. Tom took immense joy in sharing his own deep American culture, heritage, and roots with Galena and Ivan, welcoming them fully into the family fold. When Tom faced his greatest challenge, a courageous battle with lung cancer, all of the qualities that he so deeply admired in Galena—her unwavering grit, resilience, and deep devotion—made her an incredible, steadfast caretaker for him right until the very end.
Tom was a man of firm convictions who wasn't afraid to be tough on people, but those who knew him understood it always came from a place of good intentions and wanting the best for his family —a trait he famously inherited from his mother. Yet, whatever rigidity he carried entirely melted away when it came to his grandchildren. Seeing his exceptionally tender side with Scott’s and Ivan’s children was a true joy, as his protective nature shifted into pure adoration and gentle warmth. He was a deeply loving husband, a faithful father to Scott and Ashlyn, a devoted stepfather to Ryan during his childhood years, and proud to provide Ivan with a loving American family in his later life. Tom was a man who truly got things done; his talents were many, his focus was rare, and whatever he set his mind to, he achieved with commitment and elegance. He will be remembered as a man of God, a devoted husband, a faithful father, a loving grandfather, and a protector who lived his life with a brilliant intellect and deep reverence. In addition to his beloved wife Galena, he is survived by his children, Scott (Britany) and Ashlyn Morrow; his stepson, Ivan (Kelly) Kozhulenko; his cherished grandchildren; Savanna, Thomas, Aubrey, and Ivan; his brother, Mark Morrow; his sister, Melissa (Gary) Brown; and father, Thomas Morrow, Sr.; as well as a community of friends, colleagues, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Fay Ray (McDonald), with whom he shared a special bond. The family finds deep peace in knowing they are reunited again in the presence of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and that they will all be together again in the kingdom of Heaven one day.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at First Baptist Church in Bentonville, AR on June 19th,
2026 at 1:00pm. The family invites all that knew and loved him to attend.
