Alejandro “Alex” Bandera

Alejandro “Alex” Bandera, 71, of Gravette died Friday, August 28, 2026 at his residence. He was born on May 2, 1955 in Apipilulco, Mexico the son of Adolfina Diaz and Daniel Bandera.

Alex was joyful, humorous, hard working, and always ready to help. A natural caregiver, he was known for being good hearted, and being willing to reconcile. He loved the outdoors, doing DIY projects, bargain shopping and watching boxing and soccer. This summer he was able to watch the World Cup one last time.

Alex was a specialized contractor working in the poultry industry since 1978. He was proud of earning his CDL while working.

If a book was written about Alex Bandera, it would be a story of hardship, determination, generosity, love and ultimately how it is more important to follow God’s path for our lives than our own.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Moises, and half-brother Gregorio.

Alex is survived by his wife Susan Bandera of the home; two sons, Alex Bandera Jr. of Gravette, Benji Bandera and his wife Julie of Bentonville; two daughters, Deloris Olea and her husband Rene of Maysville, Patricia Bandera of Gravette; nine grandchildren, Rene Olea, Dominic Olea, Victoria Bandera Green and her husband Jack, Deveroux Olea, Rebecca Bandera, Kaitlynn Bandera, Raquel Olea, Dragan Olea, and Peyton Bandera; one great-grandson, Carter Benjamin Green; four brothers, Daniel, Julian, Antonio, and Miguel; three sisters, Maria, Adolfina, and Elvira; two half-brothers, Ladislao and Joaquin; and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation for Alex will be held Tuesday, September 1, from 5pm until 7pm at Centro Cristiano de Fe in Bentonville. Funeral service will begin at 10am on Wednesday, September 2 at Centro Crisitiano de Fe with burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette.
