Arlene Louise Aemmer Mashburn Andrews

Arlene Louise Aemmer Mashburn Andrews, 87, of Bentonville went to be with the Lord on August 9th at the Circle of Life Marie and John Carr Hospice Home in Bentonville. She was born August 1, 1936 in Bellingham, Washington to John “Ben” Aemmer and Edith Neal Aemmer.
Arlene had lived in Northwest Arkansas since 2005 after moving from Anacortes, Washington. She was an avid reader of romance novels, and enjoyed doing arts and crafts and watching NCIS. Her greatest love, however, was spending time with her family and salmon fishing with her late husband. She also enjoyed spending time at the senior centers in both Anacortes and Bentonville.
Arlene was preceded in death by her former husband, Francis Mashburn and her late husband, Arthur Andrews; two brothers: Gene Aemmer and Robert Aemmer; three children: Bert Andrews, Donna Sherman, and “Buzzy” Andrews; one grandchild, Tracy Buffington; and one great-grandchild, Cadence Soto.
Survivors include: five children: Katharine (Matt) Garner of Bentonville, David (Christy) Mashburn of Booneville, James (Misty) Mashburn of Orlando, FL, and Gayle Higgins of Washington; one daughter-in-law, Maureen Andrews; one brother, Donald Aemmer of Seattle; eighteen grandchildren: Kristopher (Kara) Isham, Janet (Mark) Reed, Kimberly (James) Whitley, Brian Isham, Daniel Garner, Alex (Summer) Mashburn, Chase Gray, Cayden Gray, Chris Gray, Hayden Mashburn, Ethan Mashburn, Colin Mashburn, Chad (Amy) Sherman Sr, Douglas (Linda) Sherman, Travis Wright, Nikki Wright, Rosina (David) Schick, and JoAnne (Arthur) Milmore; and thirty great-grandchildren: Ashleé Greenlee; MaKenzie Greenlee, Andrew Venske, Noah Isham, Owen Isham, Haylen Whitley, Kaylee Whitley, Colton Whitley, Justus Whitley, Avery Mashburn, David Sherman, Josie Sherman, Chad Sherman Jr, Raven Sherman, Brendon Andrews, Nathan Schick, Tyler Buffington, Ryan Buffington, Andrew Milmore, Shannon Milmore, Emma Milmore, Kourtney Wright, Andrew Wright, Zoey Wright, Jayden McKibben-Wright, Axel Wright, Ryder Wright, Angel Auckland, Linda Brothers, and Zack Brothers; and two great-great-grandchildren: Atticus Auckland and Mary Wright-Cavity.
A celebration of Arlene’s life will take place Tuesday, August 15 at 4:00pm at the Circle of Life Marie and John Carr Hospice Home in Bentonville.
