Billie Jean Shimoskie

Billie Jean Shimoskie, 74 of Bentonville entered into Heaven, Tuesday March 12, 2024 surrounded by her family at her home. She is now face to face with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She was born March 14, 1949 the daughter of Jake and Jean True in Bentonville, Arkansas. She married Lou Shimoskie in 1980 and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Billie was a lifelong resident of Bentonville. She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1967. She was voted the prettiest of her senior class.

Billie spent her life caring for others. She had a home daycare and loved more children over the years than we can count. Many still have a relationship with her. She was an avid gardener. Anyone who went to her home could see the talent and work her and Lou put into making their property beautiful with trees, shrubs and all kinds of flowers. Billie loved Jesus and loved her family. Her greatest desire was for her family to know Jesus and live for Him. For decades she prayed and gave toward local and world missions. She couldn’t bear to see a person or an animal suffering. She spent countless hours rescuing animals and restoring them to health.

Billie was preceded in death by her Father, Jake True, her oldest daughter Jennie Rebecca Lewis, and her brother Tim True. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lou; her mother, Wilma Jean True; her son Cass Hill and wife Kali of Bella Vista, AR, daughter Sara Edward’s and husband Chris of Gravette, AR, daughter Susan Bland and husband Beau of Bentonville, AR, and stepson Mark Shimoskie and his wife Carolyn of Bethlehem, PA. She was blessed with grandchildren; Nicholas, Evan, Noah, Levi, Hannah, Jackson, Joseph, Kate, Grayson, Ellie, Sam, Jake, Michael, and Ava. She also had three great granddaughters; Amberlin, Adalee and Aria.

There will be a Celebration of her life on her 75th birthday; Thursday March 14, 2024 at 5:30pm at Legacy Barn in Bentonville where she attended church, The Gathering.

If you take Exit 88 off of I49 – You will come East on Hwy 72 (Central) Go to Sugar Creek Road (Approx 2 miles from the exit) As soon as you turn onto Sugar Creek Rd there will immediately be a road to the left Turn onto this private road that runs parallel with the Hwy. We are the second property down on the right. There will be a red sign on the tree with Swadley 10222 and a Sign that says Legacy Barn in front of a huge stone.
Go over the creek (bridge) and follow the driveway to the barn.
