Billie Joe Collingsworth
July 22, 1928 until February 13, 2025

Billie Joe Collingsworth, also known as “Poppy” died February 13th at his Bentonville home. He was born July 22, 1928 in Vernon, Texas the son of Daisy Belle Keck and Alfred Collingsworth.
He served in the US Army where he earned his Honorable Discharge. He was a painter and carpenter for many years. He has lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over 24 years after moving from Denison, Texas.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, all six of his siblings, his first wife; Ramona, two sons; Billy Joe Jr., Windel Dee (Zeb), and his daughter; Sessamie Bell.
Billie survived by: one son; John Collingsworth and his husband Mark Groves, of McKinney, Texas, three daughters; Edwena Wynn, of Cement, Oklahoma, Sobeth Crook, and her husband Jeremy, of Gravette, Cloressa Orr and her husband Thomas, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, one daughter-in-law; LaVee Collingsworth, of Bentonville, 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Billie’s life will be Tuesday, July 22nd from 2:00pm untill 7:00pm at the American Legion in Rogers.
