December 30, 1950 until October 2, 2024

Billy LeRoy Smith

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Billy LeRoy Smith, who passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024. He was born on December 30, 1950, in Sweet Home, Oregon, and his parents were Marshall and Anne Moore Smith. Bill led a life full of joy, love, and adventure.

In 1978, Bill moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, where he began a 28-year career with Walmart, retiring in 2000. Retirement, however, didn’t slow Bill down. He spent his golden years traveling the country in their RV, cheering on the Razorbacks at tailgates, and enjoying time with his family. Bill was passionate about watching his grandchildren play sports, fishing, golfing, and playing pickleball—a sport he had come to love. For the past eight years, Bill took pride in his role as a runner at Limbird Realty Group, where he built lasting friendships. He also had a passion for cruising the world with a most recent trip of a lifetime to Italy & Greece.

He was a dedicated member of Lost Springs Golf Club for over 30 years, and cherished the camaraderie and memories made on the course.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Victoria Smith, of the home, his two daughters, Stephanie & Scott McCauley of Bentonville, and Bridgette & Scott Woodell of Rogers. He was a proud grandfather to Karsyn Robinson, Curren McCauley, and Hollan McCauley, whose lives he deeply touched. Additional family includes Woody & Perry Ann Woodell, Dale and Kelly McCauley, nieces & nephews, and extended family and friends.

Bill’s love for life and family will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
