Charles Neil Gephart

Charles Neil Gephart affectionately known as “ Chase” passed away in Rogers, Arkansas on Tuesday, November 6, 2023.

Chase was a very passionate and insightful person. He was curious, highly intelligent, and wise beyond his years.

Chase lived in Northwest Arkansas all of his life. He went to Fayetteville Public Schools and then to Rogers High School. Over the years Chase participated in Boy Scouts, baseball, archery, and the Woodland Jr High School band where he played all types of percussion instruments.

Chase was a lover of the arts, especially music, which he listened to and created all of his life. Chase enjoyed playing guitar, drums, and keyboard. He especially loved creating electronic music with a digital software program and synthesizer. He published some of his music on Soundcloud.

Chase enjoyed theater in his earlier years of life. He attended Arts Live Theatre in Fayetteville, Arkansas. After auditioning, Chase was signed with a national talent agent and got to play a part in a movie pilot, then was an extra in a movie that was released in December 2014 called “Black Or White”.

Chase was a part of Camp War Eagle for 8 years where he enjoyed learning new skills and had fun with other kids his age while gaining a greater appreciation for God each year.

Chase was a volunteer at Samaritan Community Center during breaks from school for over 5 years where he served alongside others to provide food, help in the garden and the dental clinic to serve those in need in Northwest Arkansas.

Chase had an empathetic heart and loved serving others. He was very compassionate. He supported his friends, and anytime he saw someone in need he was ready and eager to help. Chase loved the music of laughter. He enjoyed entertaining others and being silly. He had a special way of being able to make others laugh. Chase loved animals and always had a unique bond with them. He loved the outdoors, exploring and appreciating all of the beauty that nature had to offer.

Chase was a light to the world, an amazing soul, and a complete joy to be around.

Chase leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his mother Amy Gephart of Fayetteville, and father Tramane Neil Gephart of Rogers. Stepmother Brandi Gephart of Rogers, step brothers Devin and Zach Johnson of Rogers along with his Grandparents Lynn Rankin of Springdale, Charles Leonard and Sheila Gephart of Rogers, Travene and Rod Starcher of Wichita Kansas along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends, as well as a community that loved him.

A Note From Chase's mother Amy:

There is a special memory that Chase and I had while walking on a trail together, which we did often. We came across an elderly man sitting on a bench. He was very kind and Chase sat down next to him. We all talked and laughed together for some time. He was especially fond of Chase and was very encouraging to him. Then Chase and I said goodbye and walked about 10 steps away, We both randomly looked back. The man was gone. We could not see him anywhere. We looked at each other and both thought he was an angel. We both talked about this interaction often throughout Chase’s life. It seems fitting to establish a park bench in Chase's memory so that anyone can have a place to fellowship with each other, and those that loved Chase can have a place to go to spend time remembering him and his beautiful soul.

Plans are in motion to establish a memorial bench at Gulley Park in Fayetteville if you so wish to donate in lieu of flowers.
