Donnalu Ann Smith

Donnalu Ann Smith, locally known as Miss Muffet’s journey of 75 years came to an end on Friday, July 26, 2024 in Maysville, Arkansas. She lived in Maysville for many years.

Donnalu’s Journey started in Fort Collins, Colorado on October 7, 1948. She was the daughter of Forrest and Cleo Westman of Fort Collins, Colorado. Donnalu moved to Gravette, Arkansas in 1966. Donnalu married Gerald Smith on June 7, 1966 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was a member of Maysville Bible Church.

Donnalu attended Fort Collins, Colorado Schools and NTI located in Springdale, Arkansas where she received her LPN diploma. She worked at the Gravette Hospital and Gravette Nursing Home most of her career. She loved helping others. Donnalu enjoyed her cattle, farm, and spending time with her family.

Donnalu was preceded in death by her husband; Gerald Smith, one son; Darrell Smith, her father; Forrest Westman, her mother; Cleo Westman, one brother; Butch Westman, one sister; Diana Losee, her father-in-law; Charly “Jay” Smith, her mother-in-law; Ione Smith, and several brother and sister-in-laws.

Survivors include; two children; Jay Smith, of Maysville, Arkansas, Teresa Bingham and her husband Ron, of Decatur, Arkansas, seven grandchildren; Steffani Meadors and her husband Parker, Cameron Mullins and his wife; Jennifer, Jackie Smith, Ricky Smith and his wife Francie, Justin Smith, fifteen great-grandchildren, and many brother and sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 6-8pm at Epting Funeral Home Gravette.

A celebration of Miss Muffet’s life will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10am at Maysville Bible Church located at 11782 Cunningham Road. Burial will follow at Maysville Cemetery located in Maysville, Arkansas.
