Erwin H. Zimmerman

Erwin H. Zimmerman, age 94, of Rogers died Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Circle of Life Hospice House located in Bentonville. He was born August 11, 1929 in Nueremberg, Germany the son of Gertrude Schmolke and Heinrich Zimmermann.

He was Nationalized in Fort Bliss Texas, in 1955 after moving to the United States in 1953. He served in the US Army. He met and married the love of his life in Memphis, Tennessee.

Erwin moved to Northwest Arkansas 13 years ago from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was a Charter Member of The Elks Lodge #2501 in Ocean Springs. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church of Rogers for many years. His family was the most important part of his life, and he loved mentoring many people.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, and his siblings; Bernhard Zimmermann, Gerta Klinger, and Reiner Zimmermann.

Erwin is survived by: his wife; Shirley Zimmerman, whom he married June 15, 1958, two daughters; Polly Buster and her husband Paul, of Longmont, Colorado, Emily Mansch and her husband Murray, of Springdale, two grandsons; Jason and Jacob Buster, one granddaughter; Nicole Mansch, numerous nieces, many nephews, and several great friends.

Visitation will be from 12-1pm on Saturday, after visitation the celebration of life for Erwin will begin at 1pm at Grace Methodist Church located in Rogers with Pastor Jake Jacobson officiating. Private interment will be at National Cemetery in Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice in his Honor.
