George Douglas "Doug" Klingman

George Douglas “Doug” Klingman, 67, of Bentonville passed away July 29, 2024 at a local skilled care center. He was born April 10, 1957 in Topeka, Kansas to George Christof Klingman and Helen Gates Klingman.

Doug moved to Northwest Arkansas in the early 90s and married Monica Douthit on June 2, 2003. He worked for many years as a plant manager for various companies and is remembered for being funny and loving his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going camping. He was a fan of Pittsburgh Steelers football, westerns, classic rock, and classic cars. Doug also enjoyed coaching softball.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, George Benjamin “BJ” Klingman.

Survivors include his wife, Monica Klingman of Bentonville; three sons: Dean Klingman (Ashley) of Bella Vista, Zane Alas (Anngie) of Van Buren, and Ty Douthit (Traci) of Greenwood; one daughter, Tawnya Klingman (Paul) of Missouri; four brothers: Gene Klingman of Parsons, KS, Jeff Klingman of Missouri, Mike Klingman (Twala) of Bella Vista, and Alex Klingman of Mobile, AL; one sister, Kristine Kelley (Kevin) of Mississippi; nine grandchildren: Will Todd Jr, McKenzie Klingman, Eleni Klingman, Marley Klingman, Presley Klingman, Sami Douthit, Jackson Douthit, Bryton Douthit, and Jayden Douthit; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Doug will be Friday, August 2, 2024 from 9-11am at Bella Vista Church of Christ in Bella Vista. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11am. Doug will be interred at Noel Cemetery in Noel, Missouri.
