Gina Patricia McGinley
September 11, 1956 until December 5, 2024
Gina Patricia McGinley, 68, of Lowell, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Hampton Place Healthcare in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born on Tuesday, September 11, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Roy “Gene” Simms and Betty June (Bigham) Simms.
Gina’s journey began in Oklahoma City, where she grew up and graduated from John Marshall High School. In the 1980s, she started a new chapter in Northwest Arkansas, where she would leave an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her. Her boundless kindness, sweet spirit, and unconditional love touched everyone she met.
Faith was a cornerstone of Gina’s life, shaping her actions and filling her relationships with compassion and hope. To those who knew her, Gina was a beacon of warmth and generosity. She poured her heart into everything she did, but her most treasured roles were as a devoted mother and grandmother. Her unconditional love was a gift she gave freely, and her gentle presence left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.
Her faith guided her through life, instilling in her an unshakable hope and a deep capacity for kindness. Gina had a vibrant, playful spirit. She delighted in the simple joys of life—playing her violin and guitar, savoring her favorite sweet treats, getting lost in a good book, and sharing a laugh over her lighthearted pranks. She found no greater happiness than spoiling her grandchildren with love, mischief, and the kind of toys that filled the house with noise and laughter.
Gina’s passing leaves a void that words cannot fill, but her legacy of love and joy will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Betty, and her cherished aunt, Carolyn Joy Simms.
Gina’s memory will be lovingly carried forward by her three children: Melanie Bridwell (Slade) of Rogers, Jared McGinley (Andrea) of Centerton, and Daniel McGinley (Kaitlyn) of Virginia Beach. She also leaves behind her brothers, Luke Simms and Mark Simms (Gwen) of Oklahoma City; her half-sisters, Robin Tjosvold of Laramie, Wyoming, Jodelle Keeler of Kimball, Nebraska, and Leslie Day of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her adored grandchildren, Jackson Coker, Owen McGinley, Benjamin McGinley, June McGinley, and Caroline McGinley; and her lifelong best friend, Kimberly Snodgrass.
A celebration of Gina’s life will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens in Rogers, Arkansas, with Chaplain William Skaggs officiating.
