Irene Delano-White-Brusherd

Irene Delano-White-Brusherd, 85, went to her heavenly home peacefully Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Circle of Life hospice care. She was born December 13, 1938. Her two previous husbands have gone on before her, Sed Delano & Thomas White. Irene’s only son, Mark Delano went home to Jesus on June 19, 2019.

Irene is survived by her granddaughter, Julie Motta and her great-grandson Darrell Mark Motta and his brother Byron Wayne Motta.

Irene is survived by her husband of 11 years, Joe Brusherd and his children - Susan, Jon, Joseph, James, Joel Brusherd and Beth Broberg; and their spouses and children and eight Great-grandchildren.

Irene has had two special daughters throughout her life - Jules Piljagic and Diann Johnson.

Irene and husband Joe were sweethearts at Morton High School in Cicero, IL, in 1955, but their lives went separate ways until reunited in 2012 to enjoy her final 11 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers.

Before moving to Rogers in 2012, Irene had been an active member of First Baptist Church of Downers Grove, Illinois where she led the choir and led mission trips to Quito, Ecuador and Lyon, France.
Irene’s artistic life led to Stained Glass masterpieces, and she produced “Glass Orchid” jewelry from real orchids to bless her many friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 9am until 10am at Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers with funeral service at 10am and a graveside service to follow at Rogers Cemetery.
