James Elmer Jones Sr., age 77, died February 27th, 2024 at Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born February 28th, 1946 in Cushing, Oklahoma.
James was a hard worker, having served his country in the U.S. National Guard, and providing for his family as a master plumber. He enjoyed art, poems, and, later in life, singing hymns. He moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2000 from Kansas where he spent the remainder of his time.
He is preceded in death by his parents; William Jess and Bernice Leola Kinty, 1 son; James Elmer Jones Jr., 1 grandson; Joshua Jones, 1 sister; Joella Huff, and 1 brother-in-law; Gary Key.
James is survived by 5 children; Angella Cook (Leland) of Mobile, Alabama, Kinty Jones (Jennifer) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Luella Edens (Alan) of Rogers, Arkansas, Joseph Jones (Brandi) of Dallas, Texas and Abby Corter (Zachary) of Natural Dam, Arkansas, 1 step-daughter Laura Thompson (Shawn), 1 sister; Deena Key of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Chapel on the Creeks in Rogers, Arkansas on Saturday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m.
