Julia Ann Archer

Julia Ann Archer, 84, of Bentonville passed away April 5, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born March 9, 1940 in Frankfort, Indiana to Clayton Boniface Davies and Helen Pauline Royer Davies.

Julia grew up in Indiana where she met and married Dick Archer. Over the years she grew huge vegetable gardens and canned everything from pickles to pizza sauce. Moving to Iowa she continued to garden but on a much smaller scale. Julia was a 33 year resident of Northwest Arkansas, having moved from Iowa. She worked at Consumer Testing Labs for several years, only retiring at age 71. On December 12, 2012 she married Troy Brooks. They enjoyed 11 years of marriage. She enjoyed her bowling league, playing all kinds of games, doing jigsaw puzzles, and most especially spending time with her family and friends.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband of 40 years, Dick Archer.

Survivors include her husband, Troy Brooks; three children: Sheryl (Kevin) Phelps of Iowa, Rick (Rhonda) Archer of Rogers, and Julie Jo (Jon) Pedersen of Iowa; eight grandchildren: Amanda (Jorge) Zamarrón, Aaron Phelps, Jessica (David) Woodring, Sara Jo (Daniel) Chepkauskas, Carla Archer, Preston (Emily) Pedersen, Peyton (Jentri) Pedersen, and Cole Pedersen; and nine great-grandchildren: Joseph, Stephen, Joshua, and Eliana Zamarrón; Austen and Bennett Woodring; Ivy Mae Chepkauskas; and Jayce and Nash Pedersen.

Visitation for Julia will be Monday, April 8, 2024 from 5-7pm at First Baptist Church of Rogers, Olive Street Campus, and a celebration of her life will take place Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 10am at First Baptist Church of Rogers, Olive Street Campus. Julia will be interred following the service at the Bella Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
