Linda Gayle Mays

Linda Gayle Mays, 68, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died September 18, 2023 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born on March 18, 1955 in Lafayette, Louisiana to William Carl Mays Sr. and Audrey Dale Mays.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her elder brothers, William Carl Mays Jr. and Raymond Donald Mays and her elder sister Dorothy Nell Francis (Sister/Sissy).

Linda is survived by her four children, Charles Hartley Wood, William Carl Wood, Naomi Irene Zammit and Christopher Lee Wood. Also by her six grandchildren, Garrett Timothy Wood, Gabrielle Elizabeth Wood, Grace Kathryn Wood, Jordan Lee Wood, Izzybella Irene Vaughn and Zachariah Nathaniel Wood.

Linda had the biggest heart and a beautiful soul. She was a quiet person but also very witty and fun! She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She was fun spirited and took on many passions such as reading, music, dancing, swimming, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Here smile would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and sweet but also definitely strong willed and sometimes stubborn. This is who she was and these are the traits that defined her. Her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life's challenges and she made an impact on many lives.

As a woman of faith, Linda wished to have a celebration of the immortality promise to all by Christ. She would love to be remembered with funny, strange and silly stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life. She will be forever missed.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 1 Frome Ln. Bella Vista, Arkansas at 1:00pm on October 7th 2023.
