Marvin John Glasser

March 8, 1937 until November 10, 2024

Marvin John Glasser

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Marvin John Glasser on November 10, 2024, at his home in Bella Vista surrounded by family. Born on March 8, 1937 in Geddes, South Dakota, Marvin embodied the values of family, friends, and hard work throughout his 87 years.

Marvin’s employment at Wilson Trailer for over 40 years exemplified his dedication and hard work ethic. He was also a beekeeper, a job that brought opportunity for him to share his craft with his children all while working together. In fact, Marvin also hired many of his children’s friends to work alongside him in the bee yard. Beyond his work, he was a man of compassion, always willing to open his door to those in need or lend a helping hand. He served in the National Guard and the Knights of Columbus.

He found his greatest joy in his family, especially in creating memories through camping adventures, dancing the jitterbug, listening to polka, and caring for his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to travel to visit his children and to share time in their homes and explore the world through their eyes. His loyalty and warmth were constant in the lives of those who knew him, including his cherished “bird dog” Sadie, his companion in his later years.

Marvin is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Pamella Glasser; his children, Todd Glasser (Marcy) of Arvada, CO, Troy Glasser (Sarah) of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, and Tamie Osterloh (Eric) of Eureka Springs, AR; his six grandchildren, JT English, Madeleine Glasser, William Glasser, Charlotte Glasser, Abigail Osterloh, and Eleanor Osterloh; and his two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Bailey English. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication lives on in each of them.

Memorial services will be 10:00 am Monday, November 18 at the Peel Museum; Botanical Garden in Bentonville, AR. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Marvin’s heart.
