Mary Ruth Smith

Mary Ruth Smith of Bella Vista, age 92, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Legacy Village Hospice House in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on Tuesday, May 12th, 1931 in Hiwasse to Gilbert and Una Allen (Croxdale).

Mary was born and grew up in Northwest Arkansas. She spent a few years in Alabama but ultimately settled down in Bella Vista. She married her husband of 75 years, Audry Royce Smith, on Thursday, March 10th, 1949. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bella Vista, and she enjoyed gardening, painting, and putting together puzzles in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Gilbert and Una, as well as 3 sisters.

Mary is survived by her husband; Audry, 3 daughters; Cassandra (Sandy) Bertschy of Bella Vista, Catherine Rew (David) of Bella Vista, and Beverly Eastis of Blountsville, Alabama, 1 brother; Gary Allen (Sandy) of Stang, Oklahoma, 6 grandchildren; Stephanie Disheroon (Matt) and their children Regan and Allison, Robert Bertschy (Brook) and their children Owen and Royce, Daniel Rew (Lauren) and their children Jackson and Lyla, Nicholas Rew (Taylor) and their children Fisher, Charley and Piper, Callie Cain (Taylor) and their children Audry, Rosaria, and Kuyper, and Hunter Eastis.

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 20 at 2:00pm at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Arkansas, Bro. John Payne officiating.
