Matthew Alan Thomas

Matthew Alan Thomas, born to Alan and Carol Thomas (née Schwab), on March 29, 1980, is no longer with us in Northwest Arkansas. He passed on 5/2 in Springdale.

Matthew was known for quick decisions, quick actions, working tirelessly for his children and always being ready for the worst to happen.

At 18, preferring work, he turned down a paid tuition, room and board to the University of Arkansas, becoming the youngest General Manager Arby's entrusted with a store, where he met his wife Tarin (née Taylor). They had two children together and he took successive jobs based on child care schedules for them, sharing custody of them after divorce, and working tirelessly for their benefit, to the exclusion of all else.

Those who knew Matthew will remember him for his long hair, love of rock music, and being one of the toughest people they have ever met.

He is survived by his former wife Tarin, their children Abigale and Deven, parents Alan and Carol, brother Andrew, sister Crystal, grandmother, and many in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins that come with a big family, and loyal friends. He will be missed.
