Melody Lynn McDowell

Melody Lynn McDowell, age 61, of Rogers, Arkansas returned to our Lord on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Mercy Medical Center located in Rogers. She was born November 26, 1964 in Sylvia, Tennessee the daughter of Carolyn A. Heath and Charles R. Hafner and sister to Marty, Dusty, Tammy, Rebecca, Jr., Suzanne, and Tisha.

Melody loved gardening, decorating and thrifting. She greatly loved spending time with her family and grandchildren especially on a sunny day. Melody enjoyed traveling with family to tropical locations and spending time walking around in nature.

Melody met her soulmate Walker McDowell in 2017 and they were married in 2018 at their home in Rogers. They joined two families together and created a beautiful life.

Melody lived a life devoted to kindness, faith and family. She taught her family to be strong and always help when we can, to never look down on others for seeking help. Her spirit lives on in our actions and deeds along with our gardens.

She had lived in Northwest Arkansas since 2002 after moving from Spokane, Washington but had been living all across the United States before settling here. She was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn.

Melody is survived by her husband; Walker McDowell. Her children Amanda Hutchison, Tori McDowell, Wesley McDowell, Jordan Hutchison and Levi Morales. Her grandchildren Kaius Hutchison and Jace Hutchison.

A celebration of life will be at a later date at Bentonville Cemetery located in Bentonville, Arkansas.
