Oral Dwayne Hively

Oral Dwayne Hively, 90, of Rogers died Thursday, December 5, 2024 at The Village on the Park in Rogers. He was born November 25, 1934 in Calico Rock, Arkansas the son of Edith and Owen Hively.

He was an active member of First Baptist Church Rogers, teaching and singing in the Saints Alive Choir.

Oral retired from the Highway Patrol Department in Missouri after many years as a Weight Inspector.

Oral was known as a quiet, humble, patient, leader. He had a unique ability to repair and fix about anything and he enjoyed doing projects for others.

He was Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clemon Hively and wife Betty, Remal Hively and wife Betty, Eules Hively and wife Patsy, RC Hively; sister Beulah and husband Tom; grandson, Scot; and his wife of 70 years, Pauline

Oral is survived by: one son, Paul Hively and his wife Julie of Rogers; one daughter, Connie Bryant of Neosho, Missouri; sister in law, Shirley Hively; numerous nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren, Kyle Hively and sons Jack & Hank, Anna Hively, Kacie Barratt, husband Trent and children Stella & Hudson; Wyatt Hively, fiancé Angelina and daughter Myla.

Visitation will be Monday, December 9th from 10:30 until 11:30 at First Baptist Church Rogers at the Olive Street Campus. A celebration of Oral’s life will follow at 11:30am with Pastor Brock Caldwell officiating.

Graveside service will be at 2:00pm on December 9th at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gideons International or Mission Dignity.
