Thomas Joseph Brown

Thomas Joseph Brown of Bella Vista, age 89, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas, following a brief hospitalization. He was born on Wednesday, July 3, 1935, in Parsons, Kansas, to Weldon and Louella Brown (Gray).

Tom spent his childhood in Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa, graduating from Sheffield High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1975 and was honored with a Bronze Star. After retiring from the military, he dedicated 20 years to a career in the financial industry. His hobbies included golf, cheering for the Chiefs and Jayhawks, and spending time with his grandchildren. His legacy of strength, honor and kindness will live on, not just in the stories we tell, but in the lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Louella; his brother, Weldon Brown; stepbrother, William Harris; and his son, Gregory Scott.

Tom is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dixie Lee Brown (Laskowski); his son, Todd (Melissa) Brown of Saginaw, Texas; and his daughter-in-law, Kathleen Brown of Olathe, Kansas. He leaves behind grandchildren Monica Brown of Des Plaines, Illinois; Chelsea (Mark) Outlaw of Olathe, Kansas; Christina (Chris) Shaffer of Pickerington, Ohio; Brittany Brown of Wellington, Kansas; and Nicholas (Natalia) Brown of Saginaw, Texas; as well as seven great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life in the summer.
