Wendell Earl Dieleman

Wendell Earl Dieleman, 71, of Pea Ridge died Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on August 2, 1952, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the first child of Emily and William Dieleman. He grew up in De Ridder, Louisiana, Grand Rapids, Michigan, South Holland, Illinois, and Pella, Iowa, where he graduated from Pella Christian High School in 1970.

He attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Santa Barbara City College in California. Wendell served in the US Navy as a Petty Officer 3rd Class Sonar Technician on the USS Cook.

He was very well-read and enjoyed Civil War history, the American Southwest, and the outdoor world.

Wendell was preceded in death by his mother.

Wendell is survived by his father Bill of Bella Vista; two sisters, Cyndi (Dennis) De Young, and Kristen (Frank) Gandrow of Franklin, Tennessee, niece Justine De Young (Alex Glenday) of Brooklyn, New York, niece Eleanor (Jake) Van Denend of Nashville, Tennessee, and many loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 1, at 3 PM in the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Boulevard, Bella Vista, AR 72715.
