Dale Errol Schatz

Rev. Dale Errol Schatz was born on September 27, 1936 in Berlin Heights, Ohio, at his grandfather John Schatz's farm to Lawrence Schatz and Elsie (Knittel) Schatz. He entered Heaven's gates on July 11, 2026 at Mercy Hospital of Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Arkansas.

Pastor Schatz served for over 60 years as a missionary and church planter across the United States. He was the example of a caring and faithful servant leader.

Rev. Schatz was preceded in death by his parents, brother Darryl Schatz, mother and father-in-law, Carrie and Raymond Bruce, son-in-law Steven Black, and brother-in-law Ray Bruce. He is survived by his loving wife Gwen, daughter Dawn Black, son Ken Schatz (Linda), son Craig Schatz (Andrea) and daughter Dayle Shewmaker (Daniel). Survivors also include grandchildren Amy Benincosa (Casey), Mark Shewmaker (Jenny), Caleb Schatz (Bekah), Bri Schatz, Ashley Schatz Kiernan (Mike), Scott Schatz and six precious great grandchildren.

The family thanks the ICU physicians and nursing staff at Mercy Hospital for their excellent care and love.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Heritage Baptist Church, 501 Highlands Blvd, Bella Vista, Arkansas, 72715 are appreciated.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 19 from 4-7 PM at Heritage Baptist Church, Bella Vista.
Funeral Service will be Monday, July 20, 2 PM at the church.
Graveside Service and Burial immediately after at the Bentonville City Cemetery, 400 SW F. Street, Bentonville.
