Daniel Noel Denton

October 16th, 1946 until September 24th, 2023

Daniel Noel Denton

Daniel Noel Denton, 76, of Centerton, AR, passed away on September 24, 2023. Late that evening, the clouds parted so the angels could usher him to heaven.

Danny was born in Fountain Hill, AR, in 1946 to Paul Ervin Denton, Sr., and Lalia Mary Brown. He nobly served in the United States Navy before parlaying the skills he learned there into a 25-year career at the Bella Vista Street Department until his retirement in 2012.

In a word, Danny will always be remembered for welcoming you with a rousing “YO!”, and the inquisitiveness and keen intellect that drove all his pursuits. We’ll always imagine hearing him say “that’s a story for another time”. Anecdotally, there are many stories whose endings still yearn to be told. You couldn’t know Danny without being captivated by his sharp sense of humor, contagious laugh, and heart of gold. He loved working outside, volunteering at the church, and was always lending a helping hand—or his faithful Dodge Ram, “Old Blue”—to a neighbor in need. We couldn’t have asked for a better husband, father or grandpa, and will miss him every day. Danny’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by three sisters: Rosemary Dianne Denton, Sandee Paula Denton Conroy, and Marjorie Ann James; his loving wife of 45 years, Harriette Jill Newbold; three daughters: Sara Meshell (Smith) Bates (husband, Matthew), April Dawn Smith, and Crystal Lara (Denton) Murphy; and 4 grandchildren: Max, Caitlin, Madison, and Ripley.

Please join us to celebrate Danny’s life at Hiwasse First Baptist Church in Hiwasse, AR, at 2 p.m. on October 3rd.
