Debra Jean Horstman

Debra (Debbie) Jean Horstman of Bentonville, age 61, passed away on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on Sunday, June 9th, 1963 in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Caryle Lallier (Black).

Debbie grew up in Algona, graduating from Algona High School in 1981. She welcomed the birth of her daughter Jessica Abby in 1982 before moving to Northwest Arkansas in 1984. She eventually was employed at the Wal-Mart Transportation Office, where she worked for 23 years, becoming part of the management team. Along the way she was blessed with many bonus children and grandchildren who loved her dearly.

Debbie loved crafting, watching the Dallas Cowboys, her cows at the farm (June bug and Buttons), and anything that had to do with her twin granddaughters, Samantha and Sierra.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa and grandma Black, Glenn and Ida Belle; and her grandpa and grandma Shackelford (Shack), Virgil and Emily.

Debbie is survived by her significant other, Jeff Donham; her parents, Marvin and Caryle; her brother, Jerry Shackelford (Theresa) of Aurora, Missouri; her children, Jessica Jessen (Rusty) of Washburn, Missouri, Preston Horstman (Ashley) of Springdale, Arkansas, Jerad Horstman (Miranda) of Hindsville, Arkansas, Mitzi Horstman (Ryan Fuller) of Rogers, Arkansas, Jay Donham of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Wade Donham of Joplin, Missouri; eight grandchildren; Samantha, Sierra, Oakley, Henleigh, Otto, Shaylee, Korah, and AJ; and many other friends and relatives.

A visitation will be held at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville, Arkansas on Monday, October 14th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
