Elizabeth Ann Clark Horne

Elizabeth Ann Clark Horne, 93, of Bentonville, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born May 19, 1930, in Belle Plain, Iowa, the daughter of Laverne and Enola (Standerwick) Clark.
Elizabeth attended Iowa State University and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. As a student, she met and married John Wiegman. They lived in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and had three children, Sherry, Joy, and Clark.
Elizabeth married her second husband, Richard (Dick), in 1974. His children are Pam and John. Elizabeth and Dick moved to Bella Vista in 1988 and then to Bentonville, where they became active members of their church, service organizations, and the Legacy Village community.
Elizabeth was deeply committed to her Christian faith and she served as an Elder and teacher in the Presbyterian Church and was a hospital chaplain. Elizabeth had a servant’s heart and she was always quick to provide food, a word of encouragement, and a helping hand. She belonged to PEO and several book clubs.
Elizabeth and Dick enjoyed traveling across the US visiting their families and friends and playing an active role in the lives of their grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a life-long learner and lover of books. She was very proud of her extensive personal library and was always happy to share a book, especially those dealing with theology and Christianity.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by Richard, her parents and siblings, and grand-daughter Marie Kathern Arrick.
Her survivors include her children: Sherry Wiegman Arrick (Doug), Joy Wiegman Boruff (Chet), Clark Henry Wiegman (Julie), Pamela Horne Barry (Roger), John Mackay Horne (Adrienne Steinbach)
Her grandchildren: Devin Barry, Alex Barry, Gracie Horne, Bruce Arrick, Megan Arrick, Kellyn Arrick Dingle (Devin), Scott Boruff (Amanda), Amy Boruff Dziewiontkoski (Eric), Nate Wiegman, Ella Wiegman
And her great-grand daughter, Maren Elizabeth Dziewiontkoski.
A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held 11:00AM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville, conducted by the Reverend Katie Cummings and Reverend Georgia Senor.
Memorials may be made to the food pantry of the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville.
