Frederick Earl Picht
September 14, 1931 until February 27, 2025

Frederick Earl Picht, resident of Bella Vista, Arkansas for over 30 years, took his final moments in the comfort of his home in the early morning of February 27th, 2025 at 93 years old. He joins his loved ones preceding him in death; his wife of 47 years, Sherry, 3 brothers Leslie, Donald and Phillip, a sister Dorothy, mother and father, Edith & Henry, stepson Vincent Whitehouse and a granddaughter, Kirsten.
Fred was born the prettiest baby of the Greene County fair in Churdan, Iowa, September 14th 1931. His family owned the 1st general store in the area of his home town where Fred was well known, never meeting a stranger. He was curious about everything, and very much a Do All. Avid family history buff, and fisherman. He worked his entire life and traveled around the world with his skills in generator sales and repair. He retired to Bella Vista in 1994 with Sherry, eventually picking up a job in the original Walmart Sign shop for 23 years. He enjoyed his local church Highlands Methodist, and the yearly cookie walk. He retired again in 2018 to care for Sherry after a series of strokes she suffered.
He is survived by many loving family and friends who will miss his thoughtful birthday and anniversary calls, which he never missed. Hard to put into words the kind of man Fred was, those who were blessed by his love and friendship can only attempt.
Surviving family from first marriage, Jeff and Katie Picht, Julie and Mark Horton, John Frederick and Sheila Picht. From 2nd Marriage to Sherry; Stepdaughter Kristene W., and Granddaughter K.P Gross, and 3 cousins, Hazel Maudine Picht, Estalee and Patty, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren.
Circles of Life hospice helped Fred be able to stay comfortable in his home in his final days. We are ever grateful for their love and consideration for the end of life process. Epting funeral home treated him with dignity and respect, making the cremation process beautiful and effortless. In lieu of flowers for a memorial, please consider making a donation to The Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer's Association, in Fred's name.
