Harriett Ann "Anny" Weber

On the morning of May 4, 2024, Harriett Ann “Anny” Weber, a long-term resident of Northwest Arkansas, received her angel wings at the age of 86 and soared to heaven. Anny was born in South Dakota and resided in Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

She was beloved and cherished by her surviving family, her husband Dave; children Gabrielle, Lisa (Rick), Mark (Shirley), granddaughter Aubree (Michael), great-grandchildren Austen, Blake, Parker, and her niece Kimberlee.

Anny was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Julia Lee, sister Hester, daughter Michelle, and granddaughter Sierra.

Anny loved taking care of her family. Her faith led her to actively serve the community as a member of the First United Methodist Church. Anny supported children’s education and the arts during her many years as a volunteer for the Parent Teacher Association, Philanthropic Educational Organization, Philharmonic League, Rotary Anns, Marland Mansion in Oklahoma, and the Northwest Medical Center. Anny enjoyed working at Jordan Marsh, the Carlisle Collection and Cricket on the Hearth assisting clients with contemporary fashion and home décor selections. Anny’s favorite fashion event was organizing and hosting the annual fashion show fundraiser for the Kansas City Philharmonic League. For one of these fundraisers, Anny accompanied musical composer Marvin Hamlisch on a horse-driven carriage ride through the Plaza following his guest performance during the fashion show. The phrase “Let It Be” expressed Anny’s philosophy throughout her life. For Anny, Let It Be was to accept the challenges in life and to take comfort in letting go of worries that cannot be changed.

Anny’s family are thankful for the care provided by the nurses and staff at assisted living residences Hampton Place and Village on the Park, as well as by Circle of Life Hospice, all of whom helped make her life easier to the end.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of the donor’s choice will be appreciated by Anny’s family. A Celebration of Life for Anny will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, located at 20 Boyce Drive at 5pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
