James "Jim" Arthur Johns

James (Jim) A. Johns, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on Thursday, November 2nd, 1939 in Argonia, Kansas to Arthur Wayne and Thelma Rachel Johns (Kaiser).

Jim served 27 years in the United States Air Force. He married Jo Lynn Benson on Friday, October 6th, 1995. He retired from Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas before moving to Northwest Arkansas, where he lived in Bella Vista, then in Bentonville. He loved to golf and fish, and was described as a happy-go-lucky guy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Thelma; and one sister, Jan Johns.

Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jo Lynn; one daughter, Dana Smith; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many good friends and acquaintances.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held for him on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at the Club House of the Village on the Park in Bentonville at 2:30p.m.

The family are grateful for the staff at Circle of Life and Village on the Park, and the many friends who have helped them through this difficult time.

Jim will be greatly missed.
