James Rapher Downs II

James Rapher Downs II of Mansfield passed away May 9 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born April 25, 1980 in Portland, Maine to James Rapher Downs and Linda Jean Billingslea, both of whom preceded him in death.

James worked for many years in the field of medical insurance claims, and enjoyed singing, drawing, theater, football, and, especially, spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife, Heather Downs of Mansfield, whom he married June 24, 2011; two sons: Garrett Downs of Murfreesboro and Joseff Buccella (Madison) of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; two daughters: Abigale Lin Downs and Lillian Buccella, both of Mansfield; two sisters: Juli DesOrmeaux (Raymond) of Maine and Vikki Downs of Oklahoma; one grandchild, Luke Buccella; five nephews: Jacob, Zachary, and Brody DesOrmeaux and Colton and Blake Jones; and two nieces: Caitlin and Carys DesOrmeaux.
