Jimmy Edward Fouts

Jimmy Edward Fouts, 59, of Dallas, Texas sadly departed this life on March 20, 2024. He was born on July 25, 1964 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late James “Bobby” Fouts Sr. and Deloris Sue (Crocker).

Shortly after Jimmy was born in Arkansas, his family moved to Texas. He grew up in Greenville and spent his youth here, and he attended Greenville Junior High during this time. In his younger years, he was very successful at go-kart racing and won many trophies and awards for it. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time in the outdoors. As he got older, he held jobs in the landscaping industry for many years. His family remembers him for being mechanically inclined, and Jimmy was able to fix (or break) just about anything. Towards the end of his life, Jimmy battled several years with cancer. While suffering this illness, he adopted two dogs, Checker and Max; Checker loved to cuddle with him in his wheelchair, and the two of them loved to ride over the hills of Bella Vista together. Jimmy left a great impact on those around him, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Bobby Fouts Sr. and Deloris Sue Parent; and brother, James Fouts Jr.

Jimmy is survived by: his ex-wife and love of his life, Mary McCarty; sons, Joshua Fouts of Sherman, TX and Jimmy Fouts Jr. of Dennison, TX; daughters, Amanda Fouts of Dennison, TX and Martha “Moo Moo” Mediola of Galveston, TX; sisters, Rebecca Fields of Dallas, TX and Barbara Fouts of Springdale, AR. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 29th at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville, Arkansas from 11:00am-12:00pm, with service immediately to follow at 12:00pm. Burial to follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
