Lynda Kay Auten

Lynda Kay Auten, age 77, of Rogers passed Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Washington Regional Medical Center located in Fayetteville. She was born December 26, 1945 in Fort Smith, Arkansas the daughter of Frances Shigley and Frank Schoeppe.

Her passion was spending quality time with her family, especially time with her grandchildren. She loved traveling and fishing. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Rogers, serving with the Youth Group, going on many Mission Trips, working with Bible Drill, playing in the Handbell Choir, and serving in the Worship Choir.

She worked at Southwestern Bell as an operator for several years, Silver Dollar City, Smithco and her most important career was being a homemaker. She was preceded in death by: her parents.

Lynda is survived by: her husband of 58 years; Avery Auten Jr., whom she married January 31, 1965, two sons; Trey Auten, and his wife Lisa, of Rogers, Kirk Auten and his wife Lesa, of Troy, Illinois, one daughter; Angie Edwards and her husband Mike, of Rogers, one brother; Phil Schoeppe and his wife Catherine, of Bella Vista, and five grandchildren; Tyler Auten and his fiancé Megan, Crystal Edwards, Kenzie Crehan and her husband Alex, Faith Edwards, and Emily Cross and her husband Nick.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9-10am at First Baptist Rogers at the Pleasant Grove Campus Location, following the visitation, the celebration of Lynda’s life will begin at 10am with Pastor Wes George and Pastor Mark Maier officiating. The family has request all to wear “Bright Colors” to the service. Entombment will follow at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.
