Marvin Eugene Freeman

Marvin Eugene Freeman, 83, of Elkins passed to his eternal home on May 22nd at WRMC, Fayetteville, AR surrounded by family. He was born November 5, 1942 in Crowder, Missouri to J.C. Freeman and Beulah “Wise” Freeman.

Marvin was a life-long resident of the Northwest Arkansas, Quad Cities Iowa, and Southwest Missouri areas. He worked for many years in the area of maintenance for various organizations including Withrow Springs State Park in Huntsville, and retired in 2000 from Ron’s Mobile Homes Parts Store in Bethel Heights. Marvin loved fishing, hunting, and gardening, but his greatest joys were serving the Lord and loving his family.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Charles “Sonny” Freeman, Harold “Wayne” Freeman, John “Jack” Freeman, and Glen Freeman; and one granddaughter, Courtney Nicole “Bell” Barron.

He is survived by his wife, Dora L. “LoVell” Freeman of Elkins; one daughter, Yvonne “Young” Rogers (Dakota) of Fayetteville; one son, Donald L. Hawley of Fayetteville; six grandchildren: Ashley Young (Robert Bolner) of Centerton, and Harper, Haddie, Haisley, Charlotte, and Caroline Hawley of Bixby, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren: Koston and Kaiser Seay of Tontitown; and one sister, Dora “Freeman” Davis (Etsel) of Greenfield, Indiana.

A celebration of Marvin’s life will be at Baldwin Baptist Church, 5217 E. Huntsville Rd. Fayetteville, AR 72701 to be announced later.
