Peggy Lou Holloway
December 11, 1939 until September 15, 2024
Peggy L. Holloway, a beloved child of God and native of Northwest Arkansas, entered into her Heavenly reward on Sunday, September 15th. Born on December 11th, 1939, in Rudy, Arkansas, she was the youngest of ten siblings, blessed with six sisters and three brothers. She was the cherished daughter of Robert Sy Coatney and Nola Mae Coatney.
Peggy’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whom she faithfully served throughout her entire life. Her heart for ministry and worship led her to serve in various roles, including choir director, music director, and worship leader, in every church she attended. She also ministered for several years in the Bentonville and Rogers Assisted Living facilities and nursing homes through her ministry in music and exhortation. In addition, Peggy extended her service through evangelistic outreaches to Mexico, sharing the love of Christ beyond borders.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Sheila Rhodes (Bruce) of Atlanta, GA, and Elizabeth Ann Leonard (Mark) of Rogers, AR. Peggy’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Matthew Leonard (Jolyene Leonard), Elizabeth Rhodes Allen (Michael Allen), Jonathan Leonard (Bethany Smith), David Leonard, and Joel Leonard. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Isaac Leonard, Abigail Leonard, and Parker Leonard, who brought immense joy to her life.
Peggy was a pillar of faith, and her life was marked by service, love, and dedication to her Savior. She now rests in the presence of the One she served so faithfully, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Though she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life, knowing that she is now worshiping at the feet of Jesus in glory.
A celebration of her life will be held at New Hope Assembly (located at 2626 W New Hope Rd., Rogers, AR 72758) on Thursday, September 19 at 11 AM where family and friends will gather to honor the life of this faithful servant of God. Her love, faith, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
