Phyllis Deborah (Hansen) Hoyt
August 5, 1941 until June 7, 2025

Phyllis Deborah (Hansen) Hoyt, 83, of Rogers, passed away June 7, 2025. Deborah, as she asked all to call her, was born on August 5, 1941 in Boise, Idaho to Lloyd Milton Hansen and Debora (Hymas) Hansen, both of whom have preceded her in death.
Deborah was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On her own, she sought to become a member at the age of 16 years old. She met her sweetheart, Timothy Ard Hoyt, while attending Brigham Young University. The two were married on August 26, 1965 in the Salt Lake City, Utah temple. Deborah and Tim welcomed three sons and two daughters into their family and it was very clear that her family was the most important thing to her.
Throughout her life, Deborah was set apart in the love she gave in all she did. Deborah graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in education and went on to earn an advanced degree at The Ohio State University while her children were young. She later used this degree while she taught Special Education at Fairbanks High School in Ohio. She held a variety of callings in Church. But what made her so special was not the titles of the callings she was given, but the faithful service and love offered while she held each calling. Both Deborah and Tim also served two separate service missions for the Church after their children were married and grown. But of all the names she was ever known by, Deborah treasured being a wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother most.
Deborah is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy and her son Matthew Lloyd Hoyt. She is survived by two sons: Jason Ard Hoyt and his wife Kjerstin (Brooks) of Bentonville, and Brandon Jon Hoyt of Cable, Ohio; by her two daughters: Brooke Linn Mayhall and her husband Jason of Rogers, and Shannon Brittany Dickman and her husband Tim of Elizabeth, Colorado; her daughter in law, Lillian (Clawson) Hoyt of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, one brother: Richard Wayne Hansen and his wife Jenneal (Adams) Hansen of Mountain Home, Idaho; twenty-eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a statement of absolute gratitude for the incredible care and love offered by Magnolia Place Assisted Living and Memory Care as well as Elite Hospice and each person who touched our mother’s life and our own.
A private graveside service will be held for her immediate family on June 14, 2025.
