Ralph Earl Wallace
March 17, 1931 until October 17, 2024
Ralph Earl Wallace, age 93 was born March 17, 1931 in Latham, Kansas, to Earl and Ima (Kennedy) Wallace.
He went home to be with his Savior October 17, 2024 in Bentonville, AR, at Circle of Life Hospice.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Raymond, Lewis, and Leroy and four sisters; Laura, Luetta, Delores, and Lydia.
At Winfield, KS, high school he excelled in and lettered in football, basketball and baseball. After high school he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, third Marine Air Wing for two years in Jacksonville, FL, Millington, TN and the Marine base in Opa Loca, FL, flying troops and supplies for training to various islands in the Carribean and Puerto Rico.
He married his high school sweetheart, Juanita Rowe, in 1952. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in February, 2022.
They have two sons; Keith (Carlene) of Tulsa, OK, and Lloyd (Tinette) of Bentonville, AR; four grandchildren; Monica (Bill) of Denver, CO, Nathan (Anna) of Tulsa, OK, Ryan of Bentonville, AR and Emilie of Bentonville, AR, six great grandchildren; Will, Heidi, Joey, Elle, John and Leah, plus many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed being a father and grandfather. He was good at it. For several years he coached Little League basketball and baseball at the YMCA in Ponca City, OK. He also helped with the Boy Scouts in Ponca City, through his church.
He worked in commercial construction in Winfield, Kansas and when they moved to Ponca City, OK, he became plant manager for Chandler Materials concrete products.
In 1985 they moved to Bella Vista where he started his own business, Wallace Construction Company, doing remodeling and building new homes. His son Lloyd joined him in later years in the business.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing games and cards, sports and traveling.
Memorials for Ralph Wallace may go to his beloved Bella Vista First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. There are those who would love to honor Ralph, but would prefer not to donate to a church. This is about Ralph and not First United Methodist Church.
Service will be held Saturday, October 26, at 10 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, AR, with burial at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR.
