Roberta Cline, age 89, passed away on Sunday, November 17th, 2024 at her home in Centerton, Arkansas. She was born on Friday, June 24th, 1935, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania to Robert VanBremen and Mildred Geraldine Frantz and attended public schools in Belle Vernon where her father was the school superintendent.

A long-time resident of East Springfield, Ohio, Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated hospice volunteer. She lived life devoted to her family, her church, the Steelers, avoiding speeding tickets, and college football.

Later in life, Roberta and her husband moved twice to be closer to family, first to Georgetown, Texas, and again in 2014, finally settling in Northwest Arkansas, where she had an opportunity to explore the Ozarks, cheer on the Razorbacks, make wonderful friends and discover the joys Sunday brunch and QVC shopping. She remained fiercely independent and open to new adventures throughout her life, with one of her fondest memories and accomplishments being when she completed a Richard Petty driving program in retirement and drove the top speed of the class (119 mph) on the Richmond NASCAR Raceway.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Emerson Cline; two brothers Lee and Larry VanBremen, and two sisters Betty Kral and Carol VanBremen.

Roberta is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Alecia Cline; daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Declan Kenny; a brother Jerry VanBremen; and her beloved grandchildren, Ashling Kenny, Teagan Kenny and Donta Walters.

A memorial service will be held in Ohio and she will be laid to rest along with her husband Emerson at the Fort Steuben Cemetery in early January.
