Sylvia Lucille "Lucy" Tomlin

Sylvia Lucille “Lucy” Tomlin, 71, of Gravette passed away November 1 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale surrounded by her family. She was born April 5, 1953 in Lewisburg, West Virginia to Lonnie Defibaugh and Anna Morgan Defibaugh.

Lucy lived in Northwest Arkansas for over 20 years. She enjoyed decorating with flowers, quilting, sewing, and especially, cooking. She loved hosting her family for Thanksgiving and was known for making an abundance of food and supplying her family with plenty of leftovers to take home.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald Edward Chattin; three brothers: Clark, Gordon “Gene”, and Lonnie Levi Defibaugh; as well as one sister, Betty Zimmerman.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Robert L. Tomlin of Gravette; one son, Robert L. Tomlin Jr. (Dana) of Lavaca; three daughters: Donna Sallee (Bill) of Prairie Grove, Deborah Wade (Vernon) of Fayetteville, and Crystal Curtis (Michael) of Joplin, MO; four brothers: Thomas Defibaugh (Cassie) of Gentry, George Defibaugh (Rose) of West Virginia, William Robert Defibaugh of West Virginia, and Johnny Defibaugh of West Virginia; two sisters: Brenda Ridgeway (Charles) of West Virginia and Louise Farley (Teddy) of West Virginia; and also many grandkids and great-grandkids.

A visitation for Lucy will be Monday, November 4, 2024 at 2:00pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville, AR.
