Joel Michael Curren, age 58, of Powell, Missouri died January 17, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice care in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born September 4, 1965 in Amarillo, Texas the son of Gilbert and Martha Sue Curren.

He graduated from Bentonville High School in 1984 and attended the University of Arkansas. His athleticism led to being a member of the Arkansas Razorback Cheerleading Team, an experience he really enjoyed.

Joel also enjoyed hunting and fishing and almost all things farm related. He and Tanya cherished the farm atmosphere and both were baptized in the cold and pristine waters of Mike’s Creek flowing through the farm. Joel did many things, including he and Tanya owned and operated BBQ Station in Cassville, Missouri the past 15 years. Their personalities, hard work and specialty of Texas style hickory smoked barbeque made for great success. Many in Bentonville have benefited from their catering here.
